Yukon in the morning...
After traveling to Washington D.C. within the last weeks, I realize how much I appreciate the casual, slow-paced attitude of Yukon, Oklahoma. I went to pay the water bill this morning, and I never had to wait on another vehicle to make a turn. NO TRAFFIC!!! IT'S GREAT!!! On October 12th the Target in Yukon will be opening. It is a mile from my house, and this stay-at-home mom will be frequenting that establishment regularly. I should have stock in that store. Just something pathetic to look forward to in my "mom" life. The moments with my son are so interesting and special, but my imagination could never have completely captured what this "being a mom thing" is really about.

I hear ya sister! I really dig the small-town feel this place has! I'm as pumped for Oct. 12th as you are! And I don't think that anyone, including people like me with close siblings that have gone through it a few times, really has a clue what being a parent is until it happens to them. When you know exactly what you're in for, it takes the fun and adventure out of the trip...

Target couldn't come at a more perfect time :) I'm sure Sam and I will be running into you and Hank there quite often!!!
So yeah...I'm a little behind on reading your blog! But now I know why I never see you at Tar-jhay anymore. SNIFF! :( Can we please, please, please do something together soon? I miss you...a lot.
